SENIOR
CAMP COUNSELORS- Paid
Qualities:
Completed sophomore year of college or
at least 20 years old, camping experience and a strong personal Christian
faith.
Responsibilities: Work for
specified number of weeks. Ride the
bus to and from camp with campers each week. Live with, guide, and lead up
to 7 campers each of the four weeks. Assist with other leadership as
assigned by Camp Director. Responsible to Camp Director each
week.
Compensation: room, board & $200 – must complete all three
weeks of camp.
CAMP COUNSELORS- Volunteer
Qualities: High School
graduate, Enjoyment working with children.
Responsibilities:
Live with,
guide, and lead up to 7 campers 24 hours a day during a camping
week.
Compensation: room, board
COUNSELORS IN TRAINING – Volunteer
Qualities: At least 16 years old, Two years camping
experience at CLV. Must be at-least three years older than campers.
Subject to approval.
Responsibilities: Assist counselors in
program.
Compensation: room, board
CREATIVE
ARTS
Qualities: Leadership experience with children
in arts and craft programs. Working knowledge in any of the arts
desired.
Responsibilities: Creating an arts & crafts
program, including planning, buying supplies, instruction & clean up
procedures.
SONG
LEADER
Qualities: Training and experience in
song-leading, knowledge of camp songs, Religious Hymns and ability to lead
group activity, skilled as an accompanist – piano, guitar, accordion,
etc.
Responsibilities: Creating musical experiences for camp
especially at the campfire.
NATURALIST/HIKE
LEADER
Qualities: Experienced in conservation,
orienteering, ecology, forest habitat and hiking. Current First Aid and
CPR certification.
Responsibilities: To plan, direct, and
supervise an environmental education and outdoor living skill program. Set
up and maintain the nature center, plan nature hikes and games. Work with
counselors and overnight hike leaders. Lead hikes.
WORSHIP LEADER
Qualities:
Experienced
leadership in youth ministries and relating scripture to wilderness
setting.
Responsibilities: Available for the spiritual
support for campers and staff. May be keynote speaker or Bible studies
leader
